With a 40-60 forecast today - road trip!
Off to the popular Lake Keho (nickname Kehokipa) in SW Alberta:

A pit stop at the Coaldale bakery for fresh cinnamon buns, then off through Feedlot Alley, Picture Butte and gnarly gravel roads to the Keho launch with a view of the Rockies and big wind skies. The wind was solid 4.6 + 79l for M for 1/2 hour, then completely died. Onshore break with super-chop - looked like the guys were riding angry mules. Lots of kite-boarders and the NW end and windsurfers on the NW end. Nice to meet the all the friendly European windsurfers who live in Calgary while we waited for the wind to bounce back down again. A review of the jet stream looks like the weather took a hop over and above us to Brooks. A 2-hour cruise back home to be greeted by a full harvest moon and lots of reports of big wind all day back home!
