Okay, well it is a lot of fun and games in Baja! Today we drove with a group of friends to a good across the bay and hiked to the top of a flat-topped mountain which has beautiful scenery along the way and wonderful views at the top.
It was an especially calm day and we could see schools of fish and mobulas far away in the ocean below with vultures, hawks and the Mexican national bird, the caracara soaring above.

This view looks back toward Los Barriles at the left of the bay and Punta Pescadero in the distance.
We toured through a few beach residential areas and future developments, then had a great lunch at Restaurant Vianney, a home-style restaurant in a small village on the way back to town.
We like to play a bit croquet at the Vela site at the end of the day, but today we changed it up. D & H secured use of one of the golf greens at their condo for an inaugural game at the Villas de Cortez.

This proved to be an excellent croquet pitch and fine location as the nearby bar has a happy hour that runs from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily and serves a delicious complimentary taco chips and salsa. The salsa is prepared table-side in a molcajete and is composed of roasted vegetables.
