butterflies and hummers

The extra rain helped to foster an abundance of plants, insects and animals. The typically lean and bony cattle look sleek and healthy. There are butterflies and moths of every size, shape and colour flying by from Los Barriles to Cabo San Lucas constantly.

We have a flock of 3 different kinds of hummingbirds at war over our single feeder. One type stands guard and chases all others away. They males have little fights and buzz away while the females wait quietly nearby and zip into drink from the feeder. Peace means a trip into Home Depot in CSL for another feeder.
