November 20 commemorates the start of the Mexican Revolution by Francisco I. Madero in 1910. Local festivities this weekend started on Friday with a carnival, dance and crowning of Miss Los Barriles. Other events included a dance with live music each evening, a carnival, a trail ride from Las Cuevas to Los Barriles, a chicken fight across from the local police station, horse racing and a wonderful parade.
